I am thinking you may be able to remove the top off a dental floss container for cutting the thread.

I love this.  Any recommendations on paper type?  I did a quick print on regular computer paper this evening and so far it looks pretty good.  I still need to pick up grommets to finish it.  Very cool.  Thinking about trying one printed on Tyvek.

The paper I used was a little bit heavier than your "every day" printer paper, but not much.

I've never worked with Tyvek, so if you make one out of that, I hope you post it!

Some people have asked me about using card-stock.  I haven't tried it, but I suspect it would be too bulky and hard to get all the needed folds.
