These matchboxes are great, I love how this gallery is turning out! Very inspirational. The skull matchbox has so much going on with the contents, it's just excellent.

So here are my beautiful matchboxes from Queenofmarigold and pilarfarmer!
They both decided to go with the book thing- great minds think alike!! I have a collection of book related items (surprisingly none of them are books) so these will add in to it beautifully!

Queenofmarigold made me a beautiful bound book (she makes journals, which explains how professional it looks!)

It has my initials on the front, and I forgot to take a picture of the drawer, but it was really awesome, and make of book pages too!

And it was FULL of beautiful sparkly rainbow bits!

Gorgeous!!

And pilarfarmer made me a book too!!

Felt covered with a lovely bookmark...

And completely FULL again! I couldn't get everything back in after I took this photo! Sea glass from the beach in California I'm told... that is so cool.

THANK YOU to both Queenofmarigold and pilarfarmer for my amazing matchbox books! I adore them!

Huzzah, it arrived intact. I'm so glad - when I was packing them they seemed so fragile that I was a little worried. The box cover is just a vinyl scrap I had from journal-making, and the drawer was made from a page of a battered Asimov novel.

And speaking of the other boxes in the gallery, you guys rock, they all look so great! Cheesy

Love the book themed ones - what a great idea.  Love that the pull of the one is a bookmark - so creative!

how funny that we both made you books with butterflies on the cover.
actually, the book i made is covered in a soft leather. and yes the mini pieces of sea glass are from glass beach in fort bragg California. the beach is covered with sea glass and pebbles instead of sand.
i love the geisha box and the day of the dead box too. all of the boxes in this gallery are great. what a fun swap. i would like to do this again, now i wish i had signed up for 2 partners but i wasn't sure if i could handle doing 2 on my first altered matchbox swap. Undecided
