I chose the design for my website as I did not want the usual run-of-the-mill look.
However folks at home are not the happiest about it. Need some honest feedback about design and ease of use.

Need some honest feedback about design and ease of use of the site. Does it look awful? Is it very difficult to navigate?
Even if you hate it, please let me know.

Thanks,
Priya

The design is pretty plain - if I'm honest I would use "dull". It's pretty similar to etsy, and etsy's design is also dull. So what? It's easy to use and navigate. The difference is that etsy puts really good photos on their front page to give themselves a facade of overall polish. You should do the same if possible.

Thank you for that honest opinion. Our plan was to showcase the sellers, but I agree about the good pictures getting front page space.

The way Zahoomi works right now is it shows the sellers closest to you first and then the ones farther away. It was our way of trying to connect the local buyer to the local seller. But I see how this may not be the best way to sell the website, even though the intent is good.

Once again appreciate your input
