Just wondered what is the favourite type of material for people here to work with. The kind you tend to get exited about and try to include in your projects at every opportunity?

I know people who are crazy about everything made with real semiprecious stones, and have a veritable treasure hoard of them. Some are exited about Delicas, and I can hardly blame them.

Personally, I fell in love with two-hole beads, especially SuperDuos and Czech Tile. They seem tailor-made for a lazy beader who likes "polished" look like myself. Extremely uniform with very few imperfections, give interesting texture with minimum of work, and you can make a huge bracelet quickly.

So, what are your favourites?

For me, its good old fashioned seed beads. I love them for their colors and their feel - all sizes and shapes.

Despite actually making lampwork beads, I still find the most pleasure in turning a hank of seed beads into something completely different and beautiful.

So - despite a lot of retailers limiting their sizes and colours (or even doing away with their seed bead stock altogether) - I'll pick up seed beads in bulk, as - as far as I'm concerned - there's nothing you can't do with them

I agree. I love seed beads. Weaving with Delicas, srptringing with seed beads. I use them in almost every project. They are so versatile. I love the colors and different sizes. I couldn't imagine making jewellrey without them.

Well, it all depends on what type of projects I am doing. But there lies a fact that I have used Gemstone beads on most of my projects. So, I guess my favorite would be gemstone beads and apart from that the reason being that there is large variety of such beads present in various colors and designs which made me fell in love with them. For every project I try to choose something unique from here which always make my projects interesting and look beautiful.
