Have you seen The Gate (1987) with a crazy young Stephen Dorff? I saw it when i was probably too young and up until like 3 months ago when I found the movie again (on Netflix Instant, btw if you have it!) I had a couple really vivid scenes stuck in my head that haunted me that I think could be done. Particularly this one with an eyeball. oh god! *shudder* you'll know what i'm talking about if you see it or remember the movie. I was also really pleasantly surprised at how creepy the movie still was when seeing it as an adult.
