I recently had a baby and I redid our carseat liner.  The carseat canopy is GONE somewhere, so I needed something to cover the little.  A couple years back I made a carseat tent for a friend and she got a lot of use out of it.  So, that's what I decided to make to keep out the wind, sun, and rain...and whatever else might be blowing around.  If you can sew a straight line, you can do this!!

The fabric is from Hobby Lobby and it is one of the matching fabrics to the liner I made.

Flipped up to allow for air circulation when it's nice and hot (our oober hot months are right around the corner! AND we are taking a family vaca to Garden City, SC in 3 weeks)

Close up of the straps: I attached them to the "blanket" using a square and X stitching.  Should be good and secure.

I wrote up a non photo tutorial on my blog if this is a new project for you.

Happy to answer any questions.  I think this would make a great shower/baby gift.
