I used the cute buttercup pattern (madebyrae.blogspot.com) and made it from my daughter's old denim.  Also used the pockets and a piece of the waistband, though only for decorative purposes as I also inserted a zipper.  I enjoyed making it and can recommend the pattern - very easy and clearly written.

My daughter loves it and uses it everydag.

This is so awesome!  One of my favorite bags when I was a kid was made out of old jeans, but you took the concept to a whole new level!

Totally agree with Aislynn. Its always good to see something different than just the ordinary recycled jeans bag.
