I have started to knock out a bunch of DIY tasks I have had planned for my wedding in October. This weekend I finished a set of boutonnieres. They are made of needle felted "billy balls" on twine-wrapped floral wire with wool blend felt leaves. The one with the blue piece is for the groom, and rest are for the groomsmen and junior groomsman. I might wind up redoing the one for my fiance since I am not sure about the shade of blue I used... In general, I don't know if I should add anything else or leave them like this. The bridal party will have sunflower bouquets and are wearing yellow dresses and blue shoes.

I like them.  Great idea doing them yourself.
Was thinking about your post and...
Do they need a bit of sparkle?  Like fishing line with diamond dust glitter glued to the end? Nothing too flashy but will add a spark to your wedding photos?!?

Very sweet and simple! I really like them.
If you want to add something, I think i would add a little grape vine twig, just a little curly-q next to the ball. I think that would add a bit of whimsy. Depending on where you are, you could get them yourself in the woods or they sell similar things for flower arrangements.

We're kinda glitter-free people around here, so I don't think that would go over well. However, I do love the idea of a vine-y curly-Q! I don't think I know where to find grapevines growing wild here, but I will try to find something similar to try out Smiley
