I've done this before with friends, but thought it would make a cool swap. Here's how it works.

You send your partner 5 to 10 items (fabric, buttons, paper, glitter, whatever) and they do the same. Then, you each have to craft something for your partner using the items they sent you. It's great fun to see what you get back from the mess of things you sent.

Any takers?

Great minds think alike? I was about to post a swap similar to this to make personalized art dolls.

I'll wait to see what kind of response you get.

wow--this is a coincidence. smmarrt contacted me about the swap a couple of weeks ago and again last week. i love making dolls (human or animal) and the idea of my partner incorporating some of my stuff in one seems so cool. maybe the swaps can co-exist or maybe the two of you can co-organize with one "dolls" group and one "other"? (Leslieshappyheart and I did a cat/dog swap and I oversaw the cat partners and she oversaw the dog partners).
Definitely a case of great crafty minds thinking alike!

like the idea of this - only issue for me would be postage as our rates have just gone up by about 60% Sad but sure that I could work something out with my partner on this Smiley

Just looked at the paper doll swap as well, and was in two minds, so great that this option is here as well.

This sounds interesting, not quite sure what it all involves. Is it making a doll out of what you have on hand or something totally different? I'll be watching & see what happens!!
