I wanted a natural-fiber spring coat for my son, and you can't really find wool coat for 2 year old in store so I made this one Smiley I highly edited a pattern from Heidi&Finn (added collar in place of hood, elongated the body, added the pointy detail on the back and fake pockets, changed the linning so it looked like a coat...) I'm pretty proud of my first ever coat! Cheesy

Wow - impressive pattern modifications!  AND - it's adorable to boot!  (Twice as cute when it's being worn by your little guy!)  Smiley

That's so great!

I get the crap scared out of me just using a pattern. I can't imagine using a pattern and then changing everything. You are very talented!

Thank you! He loves his bunny hat very much too Smiley It was once a sweater.
The pattern was mostly used as a guideline for size of the bodice and sleeves. It's really easy to put together too...I usually hate using pattern as well!
