I made these myself on the flat top stove. They turned out wonderfully and were super easy and pretty fun to make. I had a craving for some chips and we didn't have any at home, I really didn't want to go out and purchase them and happened to spot the bag of potatoes! I just shaved the skin off and washed them, sliced them into fairly thin slices, some turned out thicker than you'd imagine but were still great! I heated oil in a pan on the stove over medium heat and dropped the slices in until they fried to the crispy-ness I desired, I drained them from the oil then and let them cool and drop on layers of paper towels.

I LOVE homemade potato chips...once or twice a year my whole family gets together and my dad fries up 5lbs of potatoes (sometimes russet, sometimes reds, sometimes even the purple ones!) and we dump cayenne pepper, garlic, salt, and parmesan cheese on them fresh out of the fryer and gobble them down before they even have time to cool.
