printing on every surface I can find

I've been screen printing for a while and I started embroidering about a year ago, so I thought I'd try combining some of my skills  Smiley

The 1st piece is made from a mixture of cottons and velvet. I stiched the clouds and mountains down before screen printing a repeat design of my own balloon drawings over the top. I then embroidered colours into the balloons with lots of french knots to give it more texture. My stitches could still use some work (practise makes perfect and all that) but I enjoyed the mixture of techniques and its definitely something I'd like to do more of.

The second piece is also a screen print of my balloon design that I have embroidered into.

would love to hear your feedback  Smiley

These are great, but I do love the first one more. Something about the embroidery and the mountains together make it so calming. Smiley

Awesome! I love the first one with the clouds and mountains, the stitches add so much dimension and detail. Just lovely.

All the links to your shop are broken though, I tried to find that straight off, lol Cheesy.

I love the mix of screen print and embroidery! It looks great and gives so much more dimension to the print. I'm hoping to fool around with my flamingo prints in a while when I have free time.

Those are so cool! I love all the different balloons. And the prints on the fabrics add just the right texture. So pretty!

I agree with the others, the first one is terrific. I've never screen printed onto fabric - really inspiring.
