Lovely embroidery and a great finished project for your second try.

I actually really like the colored in tentacles as it changes the texture and gives for a really nice 'line drawing' in the dark.

It's beautiful!  I wanted to learn to embroider when I first saw this pattern too!  (I am also a cross stitcher)

You gotta try it - it's so different but fun at the same time!

That is an amazing jellyfish! I usually don't like crayon tinted embroidery- but on this piece it give the tentacles a beautiful see-through membrane texture. Absolutely stunning!

I usually don't like crayon tinted embroidery- but on this piece it give the tentacles a beautiful see-through membrane texture.

I debated a long time about coloring them in because it kind of felt 'wrong' but at the same time I wasn't sure how to fill them and I didn't want to just leave them as outlines.  I'm glad now that I filled them this way.
