Details of swap: Are you like me and convinced you were born in the wrong decade? Do you dream of being a flapper, of holding a rivet gun in your hand or do you just want to give peace a chance? This swap is for the lover of vintage. It will be a 3 point swap, any decade from the 70's to the turn of the century.

Please do not join if you are not willing to communicate once a week on the thread. It does not have to be a long post but at least update your partner and myself.  If your feedback reflects lots of non-communication, non-posting of pics, etc. I may decide you are not able to swap in this swap. I want this to be a fun and flake-free swap.

I have a few questions, though. Since this is a vintage swap, are we crafting with vintage craft items (like vintage fabric, beads, etc.), or are we crafting vintage-inspired crafts? Also, would we be able to send genuine vintage items like a thrifted 70's dress, or something else like that?

Any and all of the above. I myself love working with vintage supplies. I also am always on the lookout for vintage magazines, I have a basket full of Life and what not from the 50's and 40's. I keep saying I will use them for something but the truth is I just like to read them.

You can also send things that your partner collects like hats, vintage inspired jewelry, perfume bottles. I was definitely hoping for an excuse to do a little St Vinnies/Oxfam spree, there are so many charity shops near where I am. Plus, at the local auction house weekly sale you can always pick up some bargains for repurposing.

Thanks I think its a fun guest room. The bed, dresser and vanity table were my great grandmothers and are from the 30's. I try and incorporate family pieces and have some of the only things we have left from my dads mom and my granny on display.

I'm very excited about this swap: it'll be really interesting to see what era the partner I get wants. I keep being tempted to get things and make things and have to remind myself to wait to make sure it's right! It's like a mini history project which makes the whole thing excellent in my books.
