Plaid Nails made easy!

Yep, another nail art post and quickie tutorial from me.  The rainbow shatter mani went over quite well with friends, and I decided to try out my art polishes again.  I was going to make a simple pink/blue/purple stripe and do shatter over it again, but I decided to do it plaid instead!  Sorry the photos aren't as nice, I only had my camera phone and office lights.



1. Base Coat
2. First color, vertical stripes leaving spaces between for the third color.
3. Second color, horizontal stripes, leaving a space between.
4. Third color, vertical stripes between the first color stripes to fill in the gap. The 3rd color should be sheer enough to lightly cover the second color and cause the plaid effect to look better.  Let your colors dry about 10 minutes.
5. Clear Top coat of choice and done!
** Before moving on to each step, wait about 5 minutes for the previous color stripes to dry a bit or they will get smeared by the next color application.

I did this in the morning during work between calls... this is when I tend to do most of my art lol.  It gives my nails plenty of time to dry since I'm not doing anything to possibly damage them except typing on a keyboard.
