Once you've figured it out, you should post a picture! Cheesy
It's nothing fancy but this is one of the things that's so exciting about having a DSLR now. I could never capture intentional motion blur before on my point and shoot. So like, you can't get a waterfall flowing, you can only get it frozen.

So yesterday, I took two pics of the same fountain at Epcot to show the difference.

Here's what the fountain would look like if you took it on a point-and-shoot. You "freeze" the water. Which is fine but it's all you can do:

Whereas, this is what it looks like when you can tinker with f/stop and slow it down so you get a longer exposure:

Neat, right? (I think so!)

Of course, being able to "freeze" action can be cool too. And being able to adjust your camera for REALLY quick shots can lead to catching the drops of water as they fall in the sink. (I was experimenting in my kitchen sink the other day.) Something neat like this:

So, I'm still learning but I'm having a lot of fun doing it! Grin

Hi! Just go here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=408018.msg4812607 That has the info, details and it's how you sign up for the swap. Once you're approved, you can post a list and pick a wish (or more!) to claim from someone else's list.  Cheesy

Hi Kagetherage!

The first thing you need to do is read through the Swap Rules over in the Birthday Swap thread. This particular swap is actually very friendly to members new to swapping because you can make claims within your own crafting comfort zone. Once you are approved for the swap, you post your birthday wish list and people make claims off of your list. You will do the same based on their lists.

Feel free to PM me if you have questions. Smiley

(Finally) sending out my package to gerbilgal today! Including a couple extras to make up for the slowness. After I send, I'll probably make one last claim for this swap. I hope everyone had a great Birthday this month! Smiley

According to the USPS DC#, Mrs Shak did receive her birthday package. She has not been on in awhile. Maybe problems with either internet or personal. Here is a picture of what I sent her. Three necklaces with her favorite theme of Nightmare Before Christmas. Pendants are wooden laser engraved.
