Thrift stores and garage/yard sales!  I grabbed ooooodles of crochet cotton I might use as a core for Homerof2's pacakge.  15$ for what would be the craft store's equivalent of 150$ worth!  boooya.

Oh yeah!  Definantly garage sales.  90% of my yarn stash is from garage sales.

Also, sometimes the dollar stores where everything is a dollar are pretty good too.  We went to one last week.  I bought wood straights knitting needles for a dollar!  Whoo.

-I give up on making TOL pendants.  If anyone would like to have my stone chips, wire and ect.  I would gladly trade it all for some knitting/crochet stuff.

-Currently crafting.....A Weasley blanket.  I'd love some squares made from fellow Craftsters.

I went on a carding spree.  Now just to decide which batt is colorful enough, then get to spinning!

Boy am I glad we have a month and a half left to send because this project I chose is a huge undertaking!   I think it will look pretty awesome when I'm done though, and have to collect a few extras for part 2.

I have completed the smaller item for my partner. Now I am going to pm her to find out what other little things she might like. (candy, tea, etc.) lol. I thought it would take me the entire craft time to be done with school being out (I have 3 school age) and having a crawler under foot. I am starting to look forward to seeing what everyone has come up with for their projects Smiley

I haven't made progress yet on this swap, but I have been housesitting at my daughters and going to Junior hi and elementary graduations, so I'm home now and glad to be!  I am so glad to have family close that I can even live without my computer if necessary!  I did teach my grandauhter how to make a tote bag though and she impressed me!  Now to get busy on this stuff!  But my bed keeps calling to me "I'm more comfortable than a COUCH....You  DESERVE  a nap!!"   Oh, be still!!!

margiej, I have the same problem...but then I have three kids who take the decision out of my hands by waking me up!  Tongue

I purchased some extras today for this swap.  Didn't even know what two of them were till I got to the checkout, and the cashier told me.  Just got them b/c they were __________, and I knew margiej would like them.

Oh, and today I found the teeny-tiny item I needed to finish the main item.  Now, it's just getting DH to help me attach it.
