worked on my project for about 3 hours yesterday. Now that the main part of my project is done, it is the little extras that go on it, that Im working on.

Spent just about the entire evening working on this pattern I have made before and loved only to tear out the entire project twice because it wasn't coming out right. I switched yarns and tried again. Still couldn't get it to come out proper. So I am back to the drawing board for the last part of my crafting for my partner. Tongue

Crafting on this swap is on hold for a bit...got the main items done and could probably send, but want to add more, since margiej is such a nifty person!   Grin

I've been looking for just the right supplies for an item I want to make.  Went to several fabric stores and just wasn't happy with anything I could find.  Then I stopped in the thrift shop and right there in the craft section was a whole bolt of exactly what I wanted for less than a yard of the stuff at the fabric store.  Score!  And there was a bunch of fabric cuts.  Another that I can use for this project and one that's perfect for a baby project I'm making for my sister.  Then in the linens section that was a like new tablecloth that is the perfect material for another project.  So it was a good day!  Now I have plenty of supplies to keep me crafting all weekend.

Maybe I should give up shopping at Joann's and spend more time in the thrift stores.

-I give up on making TOL pendants.  If anyone would like to have my stone chips, wire and ect.  I would gladly trade it all for some knitting/crochet stuff.

-Currently crafting.....A Weasley blanket.  I'd love some squares made from fellow Craftsters.

My main items are finished now I'm just deciding what else I could add to make it an even better package.

Thrift shops are the best!

I managed to score a couple of specialized pieces off ebay that will really make a certain piece of clothing extra special.

eta:  lol, I got myself confused, cross posted in my swaps!  I was supposed to say that a back ordered item finally came in!

I am with you guys, thrift stores are the BEST!  It's like going on a treasure hunt, every time...you'll never know what you'll find, or who it will be good for.  Although...

Dollar stores run a close second!  Cheesy  I found a new one last week and was dying to visit it and did this morning.  IT IS AWESOME!  I picked up extras for everyone that I'm doing swaps with!  And I KNOW margiej will be pleased with what I found.

Thrift stores and garage/yard sales!  I grabbed ooooodles of crochet cotton I might use as a core for Homerof2's pacakge.  15$ for what would be the craft store's equivalent of 150$ worth!  boooya.
