Note to self:  After spending 3 hours working on portrait do not leave said portrait in the vicinity of a 2 year old and a black sharpie.   Sad  I only left long enough to get an iced tea and I came back to a rorschach version of my drawing.  Sigh.  Back to the literal drawing board.

Oh no.  Sorry you have to start over.   I'm sure the little tyke just wanted to 'help'!

two rules to live by:

#1 never leave a 2 yr old alone with a sharpie.  (Ive never had this happen, but many people have.)
#2 never leave your plate of food alone with a dog.  (This has happend to me so many times.)

One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its black gates are guarded by more than just orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep. The great eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire, ash, and dust. The very air you breathe is a poisonous fume.......

Thanks for the empathy ladies!! Tis not the first time this has happened nor will it be the last. I suppose I should just be glad for her artistic streak.

Ack, sorry to hear that Jenni.  Good that you are trying to see the good side of it.  I'm sure your daughter was just doing art like her mommy!   Grin

Yikes! My 4-year-old has captured and tried to "help" with knitting projects more than once. The results are always, um, unique!

Oh! So sorry about your painting! Kids just love to be helpful don't they.  I remember when my oldest was little and I was making a huge granny square join as you go and I was so relieved to be almost done. I went to the bathroom to come back and see Quenton cutting it all up! Ahhhhhh!!  Cheesy

I'm so sad.  I worked on an extra "surprise" item for margiej (and used the same technique/craft to make something for my DD's 10th birthday gift) and although we all followed the directions exactly, the items DID NOT come out like the photos on the box.  They're "nice", but I'm disappointed.

I'll get more crafting done probably on Sunday/Monday.  DD's b'day is tomorrow.
