Sounds great, count me in for whatever!

I live near Golden Gardens, always a great spot for sitting (picnic table, grass, bench by the water, sand) and crafting outdoors. Smiley  End the afternoon with a bonfire in one of the pits and dinner cooked over the fire?! SMORES!  We could earn new Craftster Scout badges - crafting outdoors, crafting over fire!  LOL  Crafting at the beach.  Crafting while avoiding begging ducks! Hee hee.

We could do "supplies crawl", hit a few stores in a row, maybe even the 4th ave Pacific Fabrics warehouse store! SWOON.

Hit the islands for some island crafting!  Or even just FERRY CRAFTING!!!!  Walk on the San Juan ferry, craft while it travels around the islands, walk off when it is back in Anacortes! Smiley

I dream big. Heh.

But I'm also quite happy to meet up at a coffeehouse or pub or house and craft!

I love all of those ideas, camelama!! It is crazy that we live so close and have never met up! I was just at Golden Gardens last week.

Crafting on the ferry idea is really fun!! I grew up on Vashon so I'm an expert ferry rider Smiley.

I totally need to make it over to Seattle again, its been like a year or more!  I miss wandering around downtown Seattle, and its time to visit some family!

All those ideas sound amazing, camelama!  Love the badge idea, hehe!  I've never been to the 4th Ave Pacific Fabrics before.  I live over there for 2 years for college, but I was in Bellevue and went to Bellevue Community College.  One of my very first jobs was working at craft store in Bellevue/Redmond called Diva Decor.  It went out of business forever ago, but it was such an awesome place!  So much scrapbooking delight!

I totally need to hit up Impress Rubber Stamps.  I LOOOOOVE them, they are my favorite!  I think they were at Bell Square, and also the mall in downtown Seattle.

We could even do neighborhood meetups.

This month: Fremont!
This month: Georgetown!
This month: Ballard!
etc etc

Spend the Saturday or Sunday hitting the highlights of the neighborhood then settle down for some crafting at a local spot. And of course, consume some coffee. Smiley  (ha ha - people always assume I love coffee because I'm from Seattle, but shhhhh, I can't stand the stuff!)

Blasphemy!! You don't like coffee??!? Wink

I love coffee but just the old fasioned drip stuff. I'll get a fancy froofy drink now and then.

I think the neighborhood idea is so cute! We could even have neighborhood sponsors that would lead the tour Smiley. If all goes as planned, we'll be closing on a new house in Ballard next week. Camelama, we could co-lead that tour Smiley. I saw the quilting shop just moved to a bigger location.

I know that loudxmouse has a cafe near south lake union. It would be fun to visit her there.

Can you guys think of other Seattle-area folks we should forward this thread to?

How does the summer look? Should we tentatively try for something in June or July?

Oh, Ballard, Lime!  So jealous!  I looooove that area.  I worked at the ballard JoAnn's for a summer once (just transferred over from Spokane for the summer).

So long as its not around the 4th of July, I should be good.  My husband is going to be the head pyro for the big Spokane firework show downtown this year, and there is a lot of prep involved to get those fireworks off the ground!  ^_^  Its so much fun to wire fireworks, its almost like jewelry making, what with all the wire twisting!
