Definitely wicked...I'm going to miss seeing the moon *pout*, but if he has to live one place, it should most definitely be racky's craft room

My matchbox from alwaysinmyroom was waiting quietly in my mailbox today, waiting to take my breath away.

Gorgeous, right? I love love the face, and that acorn? It;s felted beneath its cap, beautiful work! To give a bit of back story, alwaysinmyroom had spent two nights lost in the woods as a child, and I adore the fact she incorporated her experience into this piece, because I was intrigued by her experience. The layered paper is perfect.
Then I opened it, and found this

Well it's the back of the drawer, but how awesome! A very creepy, but super majestic owl. Inside the actual drawer was this

an itty bitty crazily detailed mini book, and what's inside that you ask?

each tiny page had a snippet of description from her lost in the woods expedition. Those were 2 of my favorites.

and this on the inside as well

There was certainly no wasted space on this little treasure. Linda, I can't thank you enough, this is beautiful, and I love how personal it is, most meaningful swap yet, thank  you bunches !

Woot!  Woot!  I received an awesome creation by the talented amaryllisroze this evening!  It is the perfect representation of the wicked forest theme!

Front of the matchbox shrine (yes, it contains a matchbox) Cheesy

Close-up...the matchbox component moves Shocked  And the inset is an illustration by Brian Froud...what a freaky little creature.  It scary...and just a smidge adorable Wink

And just in case you're curious, here's what it looks like at the back...

I adore my new matchbox shrine! Grin  A, thanks for making it for me!!  Kiss

I'm glad you like it!
The matchbox has a hole poked in the top and bottom of it and I strung in some twine to suspend it.

Oh, alwaysinmyroom, that is so beautiful!  I cannot believe you got lost in the woods for two days!  How scary!!!  Though I do love the little book you put inside detailing your adventure!  I acorn is too cute!

And, wow, amaryllisroze!  I'm loving the twig encases matchbox!!  And I love how there are little bits of moss coming out!  So cool!
