here's a little bit of truth...this is the first time i've ever attempted paper crafting.  i have been lucky enough to have my sister, spidermom (who rocks with papercrafting), give me some tips and supplies.  this swap has given me a huge challenge, trying many techinques i've never done before.  i am happy with the end result Grin

I tried to make a teeny tiny raven and ... Well... Let's just say I need a lot of polymer clay practice.  Cheesy

ditto ditto ditto... I made wee little ravens out of every known material, including polymer clay.

There are no ravens in my final piece (sorry, Racky).  Cheesy

Just received my awesome matchbox from Wulf.
It's like a teeny tiny pop-up book. When you open the drawer, up pops an atmospheric little forest and a creepy little cottage. See the tiny mushrooms?
I think he cut it all out of paper and hand painted everything....is that right, Wulf? It's pretty spectacular!
He also sent a forest scene on cardboard. I don't know if you intended it Wulf, but it's a great backdrop for the matchbox.

And a trove of goodies......my favorites are the little wooden disk and the stamps.

This is what it looks like closed (it doesn't stay flat, but you get the idea) and the wee thread is out the back.

When you open the box, the forest pops up and you can see the thread (with little pearls of glue) strung through each layer of trees and cottage. Also, if you look closely, you can see the fabric tape(?) that attaches each layer to the top of the box.

When the box is open, the string is showing out the front, which you can see in the top pictures. Hope that helps!

Thank you very much Wulf!

WOW-WEE!!!  I need more details on this box!!  Is the little forest made of paper - it looks like metal!  And do you pull that tiny string to make it pop up??  Oh -and all the treasures inside- AMAZING!!

It is all paper! And he packed a ton of goodies into the box...I really don't know how he fit it all in there.
Also, the tiny little window at the top of the house is transparent. My pictures did not do it justice. Wulf, if you have better ones, please post them!

I'm quite certain that house is haunted.

And inhabited by a psychopath.  Cheesy

It's beautiful and so smart.  I wants it.

I think Wulf must have had little tiny helpers...the tiny details are just too much for a human to do, right? Wink

It is fantastic...and it must also be a puzzle since you have to figure out how to get the goodies back in the box, right?

I love it against the backdrop!
