Bigfoot doesn't always smoke a pipe, but when he does it's a Meerschaum.

I'm in a round robin tea towel swap with some friends and this is the first of a series of variations-on-Bigfoot that will go on the towels.



I looked at a bunch of drawings of Bigfoot online to come up with the basic pattern, that I then filled in as I went.

I used satin stitch, long and short stitch, split stitch and "random crazy stitch."

Thanks!  He's pretty dang lumpy, all right.     I even did another pass on his nose so it would be thicker than the rest of his face.

The title made me laugh so I had to check this out. I love it! His expression is so dignified (for Bigfoot anyway) and the little curlicues of smoke and the bow tie really make this special. This makes my day.

Thank you!  The tie made me giggle the whole time I was stitching it and the curlicues of smoke were probably the most fun part to stitch because they were free form AND fast.
