A while ago I posted photos of a skeleton cameo skirt - in the last two weeks I made two altered versions of this for customers =)

The first one is a bit shorter than the original, and features a black/white striped front panel. I love the colours on this one ^^

The secound one is more loosely based on the original: the sides are much shorter so you can see the hoop skirt that's worn underneath it. In Instead of the cameo I made a lace applique because the customer wanted something all black that she can combine with different corsets.
You can hardly see the lace on the photo, it's very subtle but so pretty when you see it up close <3

I hardly ever show any commissions because usually it's just the same skirt in different sizes, maybe with slightly altered colours... but those were really fun the make and I think it's interesting how a simple design can look different if you change some details =)

Freaking adorable!

Don't know if you intended it that way, but with the pink and the stripes, it looks like a skeleton version of the classic barbie logo.

Not sure if your skeleton's painted/printed on or applique, but if its appliqued you could just add a plain black skeleton on top of the lace, would look really subtle and nice. Or depended on how loose of a lace it is you could even just make the skeleton out of the lace itself.

I didn't intend it that way, but it's quite funny actually ^^

The skeleton is a flock print and it might even work on the lace layered over cotton fabric, might be worth a try for future looks... in this case the customer didn't want the cameo anyway ^^
Thanks for the suggestion, though =)
