For AnimeNext '12, I decided to join a group of cosplayers who are cosplaying from the anime Inu Yasha.
So, I wanted to go as Rin since my Sesshomaru was tall and I'm tiny compared to the other cosplayers.
My friend and I sewed the kimono with a sewing machine, by following a pattern.
Then I hand-sewed every orange square on, and drew the green bubbles onto the kimono.
The green obi was already made from another cosplay I made.

I went to Hatsume Fair '12 in Florida this past March as Rin, and won the "Best Novice" Costume Award. Smiley

I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue / And it's hey to the starboard, heave ho / Look out, lad / A mermaid be waiting for you / In mysterious fathoms below
