My baby will be 6 months old for Halloween and I seriously want to dress her up like Nel, but I have NO CLUE how to go about making her hair turquoise...or what to make the mask out of.  I initially thought to do Styrofoam but it would have to be in a bowl shape for me to work with it.  Any ideas??? Then I thought I could buy some turquoise hair extensions and glue them under the mask but I don't know if that would work as well as I think...

Depending on where you live, Hallowe'en can be kinda nippy, so what about making her a hair hat? You could knit or crochet a turquoise toque/beanie out of some nice soft acrylic and then attach more turquoise yarn to it and then style it once it's haired-out. Somewhere on the playthings board is a tutorial for making yarn hair on amigurumi dolls that would be useful.

If I remember rightly, Nel's mask is slanted on top of her head, so what about making it out of felt and putting it on a hair clip or brooch to attach to the hair hat?
