polymer clay fake nails

originaly i wanted to create polymer clay fake nails but in order to be strong enough they ended up too thick so these are paper thin slices stuck onto fake nails.
since fake nails are plastic (you really dont want to put them in the oven ) i created an armature of baking foil to ensure the correct shape then baked them and glued them onto fake nails. if the polymer clay overhangs the edge of the nail corect with gentle sanding (i used 1000 grit wet/dry paper) before adding a coat of clear nail polish. some varnish dosnt react well with polymer clay but if you are in the U.K BarryM is compatable with polymer clay ( cruelty free and vegan too )

Pretty clever figuring this whole process out. You could make them to match your bracelets, too.

I don't get into nails because I have to keep mine short (trim twice a week) for my job.  But this is soo cool!!!

going from what HSG said, i'm presuming you make bracelets.. and i can definitely see the pattern of the nails as beads on a bracelet

thank you   i never really showed any intrest in nail art ( spending the day covered in paint or holding a broom will do that to you) until this particular idea hit me. i can see myself spending ages on my nails now
