Hi ScrappySue! I saw a pic of your clipboard loom and immediately knew what was going on! LOL  I'm a former SCAdian of nearly 20 yrs.

I've done my share of card weaving, both with starter "card" cards all the way through wooden cards. I did the majority of my weaving on an inkle loom but I did make a very special green belt (with middle eastern trim design) on a standing rigid heddle loom.

Your linen under dress looks wonderful! The belt is a perfect accessory. Smiley

thanks for the lovely feedback, what a delicious way to start the day  Grin

Hi jexxican, I will take a pic of the lucit, actually heres a link while I do
http://kws.atlantia.sca.org/photos/lucet/, and yes lol, when I make bone cards, I will post pics  Grin

Hi Rodelphia I would definately try the faire at least one, I bet you would have a ball!

Thanks LA-Fairy,  Grin

Nice to meet you TroubleT, I would love to see your work if you are interested in sharing! I have known of the SCA for a long time, but always thought I was too busy to join, I am kicking myself now, my kids would have loved it when they where little. I sat weaving at the fire yesterday morning while the children cooked marshmellows over the fire and played chasey, it was just delightful.
I would love an inkle loom, either I will attempt making one, or try and trade something for one.
I would have no idea yet how to use a heddle loom, your belt sounds awesome!
Thanks for the lovely comment, hope your day is wonderful!

It looks like you had a lot of fun trying out different 'looms' made with things around the house. The braids all look pretty.

Your work looks lovely! I'm inspired by seeing all the process you went through to find your perfect loom, I'm still on the "tying the strings to tables and chairs" phase.
The linen dress looks wonderful and the red trim is a great detail, I hope you have a lot of fun at all the recreation events you attend with it!  Cheesy
