I've wanted to make this piece for a while and finally got around to it this weekend. Normally I stitch pieces that are full of felt and bright colors and cutesy animals, so this is really different for me...I'm really happy with it, though!

The first version was pretty terrible - I ripped it out and restitched almost the whole thing. If you're interested you can read about the process on my blog.

I love the simplicity of the design which helps convey the humor behind the piece. It also reminds of the charming little unfinished line sketches of cats I've seen in needlecraft books.
