I've decorated the matchbox but haven't put anything in it yet.  I'm looking at the box I've made and trying to think if I could add something without messing it up...

Hooray for the long crafting time Smiley

SO I totally forgot about posting in the thread, but I am still here and happily crafting/collecting little oddments for the matchboxes.

My matchboxes are ready to send - I should be able to post them on the way to work tomorrow. Start watching your mailboxes, special_occasion and bacettox!

I think I may be close to finished too.  I am going to take a look to see if I can add anything else, but I may be sending soon myself.

Well the altering of the match boxes was fun Smiley But filling is another story Tongue The last few days it's felt like I was fighting the boxes lol. It's a bit harder then I thought it would be to jam a bunch of stuff in these things :/ I don't feel like I'm getting enough in, but my packing and repacking isn't getting any better. I may just send as is soon.

I shipped out this afternoon.  I just about freaked initially - I had mine wrapped as nice, neat small boxes, addressed, and everything - the boxes were a few times the sizes of matchboxes, but still small.  Shipping was RIDICULOUS - the Express shipping to the US was going to be $40, and the "cheap" option was still over $28!!!!!!!  Turns out that they charge a premium price for packages less than 14cm wide because there is problems applying the postage stickers and labels.

Luckily, they fit into the bubble mailers they sold, so I was able to ship at standard price after I stuffed them into the mailers.  So even with paying extra for air mail, and the bubble mailers, the cost per each package was now more than $20 cheaper than the cheapest option initially offered.  Thank goodness!!!!

!!  You would think that they'd automatically reparcel items with this problem, not try to charge you $40.
