I acquired them years ago in a big bead mix that I bought. Now I'd like to get some more so I can use them for necklaces etc, but I have no idea what they might be called, in order to search for them. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

They're quite small, maybe less than half a cm diameter on the circular bit.

Thanks! Smiley

Not sure - my first thought is that they are a shank backing for making buttons?

They look like button shank blanks, for making your own buttons with beads, etc.  http://www.bsueboutiques.com/item/Button-Shanks-4695    Like these
