I repainted my favorite lamp, from olive green to a fresh, bright blue. To complete the look, I decided to crochet around the ugly brown cord. I used this thin landscaping rope that I'd bought for a different, and quickly discarded, idea. I love the way the pink and blue vibrate with each other. If a cord has to show, let it be awesome!

For future cord crocheting, I will probably use regular yarn as this rope stuff had my hands aching and my fingertips yelling at me by the time I finished.
