Sew In Love

I found some cheap fabric at Joann's that screamed spring.  I wanted to make a super simple dress so I took an old shirt that I love dearly but that I can't wear anymore due to some pesky holes in the front and used it as a basic outline for the dress.  It was the perfect length and pairing it with my red bow belt and red shoes I got a bit of a retro feel from it which I loved.  Pretty sure this is one of my new favorite dresses.

The first thing that I thought was "Oh pretty!!" Was this a one afternoon project? Those are the most rewarding as well.

That green looks sooo good with your skin tone and hair color! I just dyed my hair a similar red, and though I never ever wear green, seeing it on you makes me want to try it!

Fantastic use of colour!  Love the simplicity of the dress, it sets off your accessories really well.  Your pics are confident and beautiful.  Work it, honey!

My littlest and I were sitting here looking at the new crafty pics when we saw this awesome dress!  Her words, "oh mommy, look it's soooo pretty can I have one too?"  I couldn't agree more I LOVE that color on you definitely spring Smiley now you just need one of those fancy hats (in red of course!) and you could be off to the races or something equally fab!

Super cute! I love the color of that fabric...is it knit? I also love the red accessories...and it doesn't scream Christmas, which usually red and green do to me...but you're pulling it off superbly!
