Have not posted in awhile, but I wanted to show this off.
Wire and bead wrapped tree - about 1 foot tall.
I now have no skin on my fingers! LOL!

I will be wrapping the roots around a rock and will put it in a pot...

I put a wire wrapped nest of eggs in it

This is really pretty! It's a great idea to wrap the bottom around the rock. It reminds me of those necklaces that look similiar only much smaller Smiley.

This is great! And yeah, wrapping those roots around a rock will really look nice.
What kind of wire did you use?

Thanks guys!
I just used regular old green floral wire.
The nest (added pic above) was made with craft wire and 3 little beads

Thus so cool!!  Shocked  I love how it looks & I like the idea of wrapping the roots around a rock. It would be neat to put Easter eggs on it for Easter & Christmas decorations & a lot of other Hollidays. It's Great!! Great design!! Cheesy

Oh, I love all the shineys wrapped onto it! The nest is super cute. And I agree that putting it on a rock is a great idea!

I've seen these sorts of things around, when I lived in Edinburgh, but never with a tiny wire nest in it!! That's an AWESOME touch! Cheesy

Very pretty.  I saw a LOT of these at the local arts festival late last month, but this one is really cute!  I love the beading.  And it would look really nice with the base wrapped on a rock or a bit of reclaimed tree branch. Plus you'll probably like the stability!
