I swapped with the lovely and talented jemimah in the last round of the IYP. She's a Dr Who fan so I wanted to include something in her package with that theme. This is what I came up with!

I found the Dalek image online and used the freezer paper stencil method to paint it onto a piece of linen fabric. I stamped the word "exterminiate" onto a quilting cotton and then sewed it together with the dot fabric. The cover fits a standard composition notebook.

Thanks for checking it out! Let me know if you have any questions.

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

As always, beautiful!

You know how to combine fabrics, designs and the stamping. Simple design, HUGE result!

Well done, LimeRiot!

Thank you! I'm glad you all like it. It was simple to make. I could probably dig up the link to the image I used if anyone wants to make their own Smiley.

Very awesome. And quite clever usage of the polka dot fabric. I can still envision the outline of the Dalek's bottom half when I glance at it.

Quick question: What kind of paint do you prefer to use on fabric?

Thank you! I liked the polka dot fabric too. It was easier than trying to stencil all of the Dalek dots Smiley.

I bought a bunch of these paints on sale a while back and I've liked them. I've stenciled shirts and the paint has held up great after multiple washes.
