Hi there.

I'm not normally much for doing crafts, but recently I decided to try making a TARDIS journal like the one in Doctor Who.  I found a blog with an unfinished multi-part tutorial (http://ramblingsofanitwit.blogspot.ca/) that I started to follow, and I'm more or less satisfied with my progress so far, but I want to make it look more worn and textured, like it's old.  Can anyone offer me advice/tips/ideas on how to do this?  Please and thank you.

I think lots of layers of paint, some black washes too so it looks more aged, and maybe a light sanding?

Or you could use tissue paper to get a more textured finish, and use inks/ink pads to distress the edges.

For the inside pages, maybe try mild tea staining to make it seem more worn? Here's a tutorial on how to do that: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Paper-Look-Old.
