ok kidniks! I've finished transcribing, and if Lambs will check it over and correct where I've gone wrong, there will be swedish elephants for everybody!

SWEDISH ELEPHANT

The elephant is done in four different colors, with black yarn for the eyes.

BODY
(Starting at the tail)
Start with color one.

Row 1: magic loop with 6 sc
Row 2 - 4: 1 sc in ea sc
Row 5: 2sc in every 3rd sc
Row 6-7: 1 sc in ea sc. Switch to color 2
Row 8: 2sc in every 4th sc (10 sc)
Row 9 – 12:  1 sc in ea sc
Switch to color 3; change color after every fourth row for the rest of the body, in the following order: 4, 1, 2, 3 and so on.
Row 13: 2sc in every 2nd sc (15)
Row 14: 2 sc in each sc (30)
Row 15: 1sc in ea sc
Row 16: 2sc in every 2nd sc (45)
Row 17 – 20: 1 sc in ea sc
Row 21: 2sc in every 3rd sc (60)
Row 22-24: 1 sc in ea sc
Row 25: 2sc in every 4th sc (75)
Row 26: - 28: 1sc in ea sc
Row 29 2sc in every 5th sc (90)
Row 30 – 33: 1 sc in each sc
Row 34: 2sc in every 6th sc (105)

Row 9: 1 sc in ea sc
Row 10: 2 sc in every 9th sc (70)
Row 11 – 16: 1 sc in ea sc
Row 17: decrease every 9th +10th sc (63)

Crochet this part to the end of trunk with a row of single crochet, finish, sl st in 1st st.

LEG

Start with color one, changing color every third row in the following order: 2, 3, 4, 1

Row 1: Magic Loop with 8sc
Row 2: 2 sc in ea sc (12)
Row 3: 2 sc in every 3rd sc (16)
Row 4: 1 sc in ea sc
Row 5: 2 sc in every 4th sc (20)
Row 6: 1 sc in ea sc
Row 7: 2sc in every 10th sc (22)
Row 8 – 15: 1sc in ea sc, finish with a sl st in first st

EARS

Start with the lightest color. Turn every row with ch 1.

Ch 9, turn.

Row 1: 9 sc, turn
Row 2: decrease, 5sc, decrease (7)
Row 3: continue along the side of two rows with 3 sc, bottom by 7 sc, and the other side with 3 sc; turn. Make sure you have 17 sc at the end of next row (you crochet on the “bottom”) under, around the ch 9 you started with.

Row 4: 2sc, 2sc in next st, 1 sc, 2sc in the next st, 3 sc, 2sc in the next st, 1 sc, 2sc in the next st, 2sc, turn (17) Continue as with stripes for the trunk, but change colors every 2nd row.
Row 5: 3sc, 2sc in the next st, 1sc, 2sc in the next st, 5sc, 2sc in the next st, 1sc, 2sc in the next st, 3sc, turn (21)
Row 6: 4sc, 2sc in the next st, 1sc, 2sc in the next st, 7sc, 2sc in the next st, 1sc, 2sc in the next st, 4sc, turn (25)

EYE

Crochet in black

Ch 4, form a ring with sl st in 1st st.
Row 1: 8sc
Row 2: 2sc in every 2nd sc, finish with sl st in next st.

FINISHING

Stuff parts firmly with fiberfill.
Stitch parts to main body.

Ears pucker up as they are sewn between the 3rd and 4th from the neck.

Eyes were fixed in the middle of the broad bright stripe.

some small stuff, but overall a VERY good job translating!

the original pattern says about 150 grams (82 yds x3) of yarn, crochet needle 2, 45 cm long

I used about 200 grams of yarn (82yds x 4) needle 3.5 and mine turned out 60 cm



Row 68 on the body should be:

Row 68: 2sc in ea sc, (30) finish with 1 sl st in first st, cut yarn

and the legs:

LEG

Start with color one, changing color every third row in the following order: 2, 3, 4, 1

Row 1: Magic Loop with 8sc
Row 2: 2 sc in ea sc (12)
