I am going to be ordering some canvas prints of photographs of my kids. I'm too cheap to get gallery wrap, so the sides of my canvases will be un-finished. Is there any tutorials on how to frame a canvas, so sites someone can direct me to. This would also be helpful for my sister's paintings.
Thanks!

To stretch and frame canvas you will need some wood pieces, a staple gun and a pair of pliers.

The frame should be 6-8 inches smaller than the canvas measurement. Lay your frame on top of the canvas, and center it. Have your canvas straight and in line with the top frame bar (wood). Staple pull a piece of canvas and staple in the center, top. Go to one of the sides and repeat. Then to the other side, and lastly the bottom. Once you have it centered and each side stapled once and taught, continue on around. Staple, pull, staple, pull till it is all finished. That's pretty much all there is to it. Smiley
