I decided to DIY my Easter decorations this year since it's our first in the new house. My ideas are not original, but inspired by projects found via Pinterest. But that doesn't make them any less festive!

I had loads of embroidery floss, water balloons and glue so I set to work at making a mess. I tried a few different adhesion recipes from different craft blogs until I found a concoction that suited me. The plan was to make a ton of them and hang the bunches by the entry and above the windows but I ran out of time.

You ca see that one of the mixtures left a residue Sad

I glittered a few of the eggs with a matching color. Tricky part was brushing the glue on individual strands without squashing the egg.

All together on my side table

Those turned out cute. Simple but traditional.

Love these! How well do you think they will hold up? Like can you store them and use them again in future years?

Well, they are fragile, so if you pack them away make sure they are on top of everything else. They have held up well to handling so far, and I expect to have them last for a couple of years at least. As long as you're careful I don't see why they wouldn't last for 5+ years. But if they do get smushed, just rinse/soak the floss and re-use it. I think that's the best part. No waste!
