Flowers and Bird Dimensional Birthday Card - featuring Elmer's products

I'm always forgetting a birthday or finding out about one last minute. This time it was my best friend's birthday. OOPS. (**Forehead smack!**) So I needed to whip a card up and quick.

I started out with a blank card from a box 'o' cards that I have handy for just such occasions. They're kind of well... plain... so before diving in to the paper embellishments, I used Elmer's Painters Pens to add a little zing to the background.

Next, I used Elmer's Craft Bond Glue Spots to fasten 12 paper squares to the card. I like them because you don't have to wait for anything to dry, and they add just a teensy bit of dimension. Not too much, but just enough to make the squares pop a little.

For the main elements on the card, I used Elmer's Craft Bond Foam Mounting Tape.

The foam mounting tape has a really nice amount of thickness, so the bird and flowers stand out and give the card some extra interest and dimension.

I finally added a couple of gems to the flowers and was done. Now I won't feel like a bad friend when I have this hand-made card to give to my buddy.
