Functional and Fancy Clothespins - featuring Elmer's products

I've never had a real clothesline in my life but I still LOVE clothespins and use them all over our house. This is a super quick and easy way to give them a bit of pizazz by using Elmer's designer masking tape.

Start by tearing off a piece of tape a bit longer the length of your clothespin and sticking it to the top of the pin.

Flip the pin over now and carefully slice off the extra tape using an X-ACTO knife.

There is a small gap on the front of the clothespin where the wire spring fits into. Use your X-ACTO knife to cut away the masking tape that is covering that area and voila, a fancy clothespin!

Try gluing a magnet to the back and using the pin to hold bills or reminders. I used Elmer's glue dots to attach a tack (with a flat top) to the back so that I could use it to hold patterns on my craft room cork board. Use one as a present topper/tag holder!

Clothespins are useful for a million things but just because they are functional, doesn't mean they have to be boring!

Thanks, Lime!  You are an inspiration to me - and I will share what I come up with - I love the card that coordinates with the clothespin on that gift!   Cool

I love this tape!  It looks almost like you painted the details because a little of the wood grain shows through.

Oh yeah, I didn't even think of that IamSusie Smiley.

The tapes are SO fun. I've been sticking them on everything lately, including the dogs.
