Well I finally get around taking pictures and post my new handbag!

It is an Amy Butler bag, from her book Amy Butler's Style Stiches . The model is a teardrop bag, the small version.
I used fabrics I won in a Give away by leslieshappyheart on her blog, the fabrics were given to her by her friend susanab. Both well known Craftsters!

I was lucky enough to win and I promised to post pictures of the bag I made. So here it is:

The bag closes with a magnetic closure, is has a sort of pocket inside. Here is an inside view:

It wasn't that difficult, the most difficult part was to make the pattern match. The front matches very good, the back a little less. But overall I am very pleased with the result! The bag is quite small, so next time I'll make the bigger version.
And just because I am proud, a last picture:

Thanks for looking! Cheesy

Thanks sewfumust, Sharalee and Fiddlegirl8!

I felt so lucky! And now even more lucky with this cute bag  Cheesy
The trickiest thing wasn't the pleat itself, but making sure that pretty flower was in the middle and to match it. It turned out better than expected.

that is a beauty! it is so tailored, i love the shape of it.
truly, those fabrics didnt have a clue that they were destined for that kind of greatness.

matching the fabrics like that--and with young children! haha!
