So I made this set of inchies the other night to display on my desk. I used an old typewriter to get the text, and some scrap paper to make the bases. The paper of the moons themselves are circles cut out of a blank page from an old spell book of my grandmother's.

They're my first set of inchies, and I reckon they turned out quite nice, all things considered. Space-themed inchies seem like something I could get in to. Smiley Once you make one, you can't really stop...

These are fanTAStic!  When I saw the thumbnail on the front page I thought, "Those look like phases of the moon" and then "What a great idea for a quilt" and then clicked to find them to be perfect little inchies!  Ooo, space themed inchies are something I could definitely get into, too...though I couldn't create anything as swell as your moons, so I'll be on the lookout for your next skyward adventure.

Aw thank yous!

And man!! A moon-phase quilt would be FANTASTIC looking! I've always wanted to try to make a quilt, but it's never worked out. I don't think I have the patience. But maybe a gorgeous space-themed quilt is just the push I need. Smiley

These are fantastic! They have such a great look to them, especially the old typewritten labels.

These are lovely. Cheesy Love the idea and the labels. (Maybe I should take this as an opportunity to learn, because I don't actually remember the phases of the moon.) *stares*
