thanks so much for posting the link to "Gangsta Knitter" - it brought a much-needed smile to my face.  I've sent the link to all my knit night buds, too.  Smiley

melidomi, that is the funniest dang thing I've seen in a long time!!!  Oh man, I only caught about half the words, gotta listen again.  I like when Master SSK (HAHAHA) says, "go back to patterns, fool -- we're freestylin' here"

LOL

Melinda  (I liked the line about the seams not puckering, too)

Someone mentioned earlier the sweaters from the Matrix movie - the company that made the sweaters are from St. Louis and specially made them to look distressed for the movie - they have wonderful sweaters

Those are awesome!  I really like the one on the entry page, with the buttons along the side and the three pockets up the front.

I just got done watching Stuck on You with Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear.  I hope I'm not repeating anything. (According to the search button, I'm not.)

There was a scene with a rude couple in the twins' restaurant.  The woman had on a colorful scarf that was a chevron pattern in the middle.  The last five or so inches of the scarf were regular stripes.  The change from chevron to stripes was gradual, and it seemed as though the two ends flared out a bit.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this keeping the stripe pattern?  I'm sure I could figure out the chevron part, but how do I make the switch to the stripes with the flare?  Am I even explaining myself well?

Thanks in Advance for any help.

Don't remember if this one was mentioned..

In The Virgin Suicides (LOVE it! Cheesy ) when Trip comes over and watches t.v. with the Lisbons, Lux is sitting there knitting. Thats my petty contribution!  Cheesy

I was watching an episode of "Degrassi: The Next Generation" on The N the other day and Emma was wearing few different knit/crochet pieces.  (Sorry for the blurry pics!)

And here's one from "Joan of Arcadia" - you can't tell that well, but Joan is wearing a supercute aqua scarf.
