Anyone see Curious George, the movie? I love the red top that the character Drew Barrymore does the voice for is wearing (ew, bad sentence construction!).

I found a pattern for it! It's the Slanted Neck pullover by Kate Gilbert in the latest Interweave Knits magazine. http://www.interweave.com/knit/interweave_knits/Galleries/bonus/spring_2007/slanted.asp.

I have a couple of projects to get through then I'll be tackling this one. I just got a copy from Barnes & Noble. It was the last copy to boot! I didn't see any out in the open so I started looking behind the others in that section. And I scored!

What do you think of this? It's from "The golden compass" and I think it
is knit. I like it but have no idea on how to actually make it.  Tongue

Do you mean the scarf of the odd little "halo" hat? They're both cute. The scarf looks knit or woven, and I think, as you say, the hat is knit. Kind of an Amelia Earhart (sp?) style with a knit-covered disc sewn on the back. Hmm...

oh man! i am so excited for the golden compass! in the trailer Lyra, the main character, wears a pink knit jacket. it looks like garter stitch, and it was knit with a bunch of different yarns, like fun fur almost. i can't get a really good look at it!

Ha  Smiley That little hat is really cute, weird, but I like it.  I wonder if there is card in that lil disk part or if it is just knit firm.

I've just added three different movies to my netflix queue because of this thread! (Including sisterhood of the traveling pants, since I never did get screen shots!)

I've been contemplating Kyra Sedgwick's The Closer sweater for a while, and I think that Starsky from knitty is just right... (Again, I'll try for a screenshot! She wears it almost every episode.

well i'm not sure if these have been posted already, i wasn't about to go through all 50 pages but... in one if my fave movies in high school, idle hands, the main character was knitting in order to keep his hands busy so he wouldn't kill anyone, then of course he killed someone with a knitting needle but hey... and the other day i was watching a show, what i like about you, and one of the characters was knitting something!

did anyone see the jane austen book club?  maria bello wears a few really awesome sweaters in it and one of the characters (kathy baker) actually knits at every meeting.  maria bello wears this really great, cabled shawl collar cardigan in one scene.  she also wears a great fair isle blanket/sweater in a lot of the movie.  i've been searching high and low for some comparable patterns that i can tweak but no luck yet. there aren't any real screencaps of the sweaters.  argh. well if you see the movie, keep an eye out for some awesome knits.

That's out already? I saw the previews of it awhile back and wanted to see it really bad. I'm going to have to look at the theater now!
