Oh she's already knitting Smiley In ep 3 (or was it 2? I'm pretty sure it was 3...) she and George talk about it.

(I love that show, glad to know there's more knitting to come!)

Haha, I haven't a clue.  My daddy tapes them and sends them to me.  Gotta love the daddies.

I finally saw the (hilarious) movie "Along Came Polly" last night and decided I HAD to have some of the knits Polly wore.  (nerd party of 1....)  Anyhoo.. I am terrible at fiber ID, and I know you guys pegged the yarn used in the Borne Identity scarf, so I thought I'd ask..
The one I am really wanting the specific color and sort of shine of the yarn and pattern from is the purple one she wears with the red dress in the salsa dancing scene (among others).   It looks like a drop stitch pattern, much like the "yo drop it" scarf in SnB Nation.. but the yarn??  Any ideas?

The other one that is super cute that she wears is the maroon shawl/wrap dealie.  Im guessing that its a big triangle with fringe, but thats as far as I can get... Is that even knit?  I'm still a bit of a newbie to knitting, so I don't even know.

thanks all sooo much...

The first photo is of a crochet shawl.  I'll do a search to find a pattern of one similar!

the second scarf looks like it's in double or triple crochet pattern, and just a very long, thin scarf. i am making a top out of something that looks almost identical- it's sport weight lustresheen in "mulberry" that i got at walmart. you'd have to "rough up" the fringe part when you made it to make the lustresheen look more raggedy, but i think it would be a very good match. hth!

It very similar to the one above, except you might want to use a lighter weight yarn and a slightly larger needle to get the right guage.
