ok, this is on TV, but on 8 Simple Rules (which I've never actually watched, just flipped past) the mom was knitting everytime I've seen it! Actually, if i remember correctly, she was working on the same (red) thing everytime!

I was flipping through the channels last night and "Runaway Bride" was just ending.  I didn't watch the whole movie last night and can't remember if the old lady knits throughout or if it was just in the one random scene, but at the end when they are showing the montage of all the happy people, the old lady (I think from the hairdresser ??) is KNITTING WHILE JOGGING!!!!

Haha...that was on Saturday, right?  I saw that part, too.  It was like 'I have GOT to try that!'  Roll Eyes

And, staralee, I saw that episode a while back.  Love the way she kept on knitting, but the piece never got longer!

The current "Movie Knit Obsession/Interest" is the cape cardigan that the ex-wife wears in Secret Window.

Off to the LYS to ask for a pattern to be created based on it! Roll Eyes

Hi Boo!

It's www.laknitterieparisienne.com generally, you buy your yarn and then get a pattern.  I'll let you know how it goes!!!

Here's the link to the sweater that I'm drooling at http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=29014.0  LothRuin was kind enough to post a better link to the urban outfitters page that had a way better picture of this cape/cardigan.

Let me know if there's something you're looking for  Grin

Oh that Lothruin is one talented lady.  She was vital to helping me get my Bourne Supremacy scarf done.  When you get your sweater/capelet done please consider allowing me to post on it my blog's movie/tv knits section.  I have been needing to update it with a new project but haven't designed one or come across one either.

Happy Knitting!

I keep seeing things to post in this thread!  Maybe I'm the only one who spends too much of my time knitting and watching tv, but...

Did anyone else see God knitting on Joan of Arcadia last night?  When God is telling Joan that she should take up her knitting again God said that she knit the top she was wearing.  Is it just me, or was it crochet?  Is it just me, or shouldn't God know the difference? (I don't mean to be sacreligious....)  Joan sure knit fast though, once she got going (Ha...  i wish I could knit that fast!!)

(**I have some theological issues with the Joan of Arcadia but somewhere along the way I got totally sucked in to it.)

Ooh, I just watched Mira Nair's Vanity Fair.  I have to say I was disappointed with the movie itself, but the set design and the costumes were GORGEOUS.  I love the Anglo-Indian touches, the colors, the bareness - everything was so pretty and so unusual for a "period" film, but it felt perfectly believable, since Thackeray himself mentions that you have all these expatriate Brits returning to England and bringing India back with them.

Anyhow, I love the long pink fingerless gloves that Becky (Reese Witherspoon) wears during the first half-hour.   They're so hot.  I am going to make those.

i saw that too! i was so excited! i love Joan of Arcadia! i have been thinking about making a scarf of different stitches and using my scrap yarn! i was so happy when she gave it to Adam. i also think that the top might have been crochet and God should know the difference. haha. still, Knitting God was cool!
