Wow, so I just read through this old thread and here's an idea...can we just try talking on craftster a bit? You know, instead of having a ping pong match of who's available and who's not, and where they live, etc etc...especially since some of that info is 5 years old and irrelevant, I assume...let's just get to know each other?
So yeah, I'll start.
I am from Pittsburgh, moved to Erie in 2003 with my then boyfriend and now husband. We lived in Lawrence Park for five years and then settled in Harborcreek. I have a 4 year old son and a 2 month old daughter, and two cats. I am a stay at home mom. I used to teach and perform bellydance here in Erie, I perform every once in a while now.
I do all sorts of arts and crafts, I dabble a lot. Currently I'm really into embroidery, making small stuffies, sewing, and canning. I have hosted a few local swaps here in Erie with some of my friends. I also got a few of my friends to do The Artist's Way together during the summer, and we would meet once a week to discuss our progress over coffee. I am planning to do Julia Cameron's other book, Vein of Gold, in January. If anyone is interested in joining me for that or simultaneously doing the Artist's Way, let me know!
Right now I am jonesing to do some holiday crafting, both as gifts and to decorate my house. My daughter needs a stocking, and I want to make a new tree skirt. My other one is starting to really show its wear! I was hoping to make some sock monkeys for some nieces and nephews, and some ornaments...but it's hard to craft sometimes with the kids.
Sooooo......what do you guys all do? Whatcha working on right now?
