Details of swap:

This is the 12th dotee swap (free theme) and maybe the 15th? 16th? I've hosted. These are fun and easy swaps. You will make one doll for each of your three partners and receive 3 dolls in return (if there are 24 swappers). You can choose to swap internationally or only within the USA. These are small dolls, 3" - 5" tall, with a loop for hanging and sometimes a tail. They fit into the small bubble envelopes, about 3" x 5" and cost under $2. to mail in the USA and maybe $1. more to ship overseas.

Each swapper lists 5 - 8 themes in their questionnaire but you must understand that these are general themes and your partners may not know specific characters. So I could list 'Harry Potter' as a theme knowing that my partners might not be fans like me and may make a generic magical creature based on their knowledge of the genre. So try to choose broader themes - colors, vampires, themes like sewing or cooking, literary genres or artists you admire.

And dotees can be made from almost anything. The ones hanging over my desk are made from fabric, yarn, wire and beads, wood, plastic, faux leaves and leather, felt, paper clay and buttons. So let your imagination run wild. The requirements (as stated above) the dolls are 3" -5", with a loop for hanging, tails are optional, and usually a face. The point of these swaps is to have FUN and not to stress out about making the perfect 'Alice in Wonderland' doll.
