I've done something similar to these before, but I swear I never tire of making them.  They always turn out so beautiful!  When redstar13 asked me to be her partner in the Invite Your Partner Round 20 Swap and I did some stalking and found her love for hair accessories, I knew I needed to turn some out for her.

Purple and black flower with a pretty button in the middle (I clipped the shank off it so it would glue in easier).  I got the plain headband from JoAnn's, and glued on the sequin and jewels.  The flower is made from polester lining that is cut into circles and then the edges are singed and curled by holding it over a flame.  There is an awesome tutorial on how to make these flowers here on crafster, posted by barbolot.  It can be found here:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=318808.0

This one has lace that I glued on first, and feathers!  Yay feathers!

Hair clips!  The one on the left is a metal hair clip, and the one on the right is a bobby pin.  This bobby pin is made for applying things to it because it has a circle welded onto the pin which gives you a base to work with.  I got mine from JoAnn's.

And here is a brooch that I sent off as an extra for Teachart, my other wonderful partner in the IYP20 swap:

It has a metal pin back hot glued to the back of it, and the same button as the first headband.  (I believe it was a two pack when I bought the buttons from JoAnns).

Thanks for looking!
